With the progression of home construction, the neighborhood feel of Newbury is beginning to take shape with over 15 homes currently underway. This update will focus on this progress as well as on the road connection that is being created for the first cluster of carriage and courtyard homes. Here is a look at the foundation of the home being built on lot 51. As you can see, both cement block and poured concrete techniques were used in creating base of this home.

This series of photos show the progress of a Park home on lot 44. The installation of James Hardy siding is almost complete as most of the construction has shifted to the interior, which will be featured in a future update. The last photo of this group shows the framing that will be used to pour the sidewalk for this home. Sidewalks on both sides of the street will be a staple of the streetscape at Newbury.

The homes featured thus far in our construction update signify the boundary of Phase 1 construction in regard to the rest of the development. These photos provide a look at the two roads, which will connect around a cluster of Cottage, Carriage and Courtyard homes.

Now we’ll move into more of Phase 1 with a look at the northern cul-de-sac. This area will feature both Manor and Park homes.

Work on the home on lot 16 progressed a great deal since our last update as they are nearly set to begin the exterior work of installing siding and cultured stone. The electric crew also worked on supplying power to this home.

The lone Manor home under construction along the site drive is located on lot 11 and will be featured as the Manor home model upon completion. As you can see around the garage, the installation of James Hardy siding has begun.

Next on the site road is a Park home being built on lot 10. They are currently finishing up the placement of shingles for this home.

The home on lot 7 will be the best example of the all brick Park home option. As you can see, the crew is now working of the front of the home. The last two photos of this group show a crew member performing some utility work and a look at the back of the home and the extent of the brick work.

The Cottage home on lot 38 is close to completion as much of the work has moved the interior of the home. However, this shot does provide a look at some of the completed sidewalk.
