Site work on Phase 2 of Newbury has begun and moved very quickly in just the past few weeks. We have described these 15 lots as some of the best of the entire community and you can start to see the reasons when you take a look at these photos. There are a few weeks of work left before the lots reach final grade, so be sure to stop up and check out the progress for yourself. This is location where the cul-de-sac of Phase 2 will meet the site drive. Keep in mind that when complete, these lots will feature 70′ to 80′ of frontage and lot depths of about 150′.

This group of photos shows a loader spreading fill, while a roller follows to pack the dirt. The area shown in the second photo will eventually be at the same grade as the first photo, with the dirt moving to another area of the phase. All of the lots on this side of the phase will be flat.

Here are some closer looks at a D-10 bulldozer, which will tear up and move dirt, and a loader, which primarily just moves dirt in preparation for the roller.

Here is another team, performing similar work in the are that will be at the end of the cul-de-sac in Phase 2. This is location that will use the fill excavated from the second photo of this post. These lots in particular will feature views that extend miles into the South Hills.

This update will close with a couple shots of the manhole structures that will be placed throughout Phase 2. Work on the utilities for this phase should begin in the next few weeks.

The next construction update will focus on the retail portion of the site.
