Construction has begun on 84 Lumber’s new site. To manage water, rocks are put down followed by 9 foot-tall silver drainage tubes to be inserted below the projected site. The drainage tubes have tiny holes in them for water to get through. Earlier last week, the silver tubes were delivered!
Two photos of the driveway headed down to 84.
A shot of the projected site. As you can see, the rocks have been dropped and they will be shaped in a way that can hold the large metal tubes without the tubes turning despite their round shape! This will slow down the water. Later in construction, the site will be filled with dirt from the single family home site up on top of the hill and will actually be about ten feet higher than it is right now!
As you can see, the tubes are huge!
The remainder of the photos consist of the workers unloading the tubes from their delivery truck and getting these fastened together to be put into the ground. Stay tuned for more construction updates in the near future!
