First Annual Newbury 500 – April 21, 2012

The First Annual Newbury 500 will be held on April 21, 2012 from 12pm-4pm. The event will feature a full-scale soap box derby with the track running along the northernmost portion of Newbury Highland before ending at the Marbleseed Lane cul-de-sac. The soap-box cars have been constructed and will be sponsored by Newbury as well as a number of the community’s strategic partners including Giant Eagle, Andersen Windows and Doors, 84 Lumber, James Hardie, Deklewa Home, Heartland Homes, S&A Homes and Stambrosky Homes. If interested in participating as a driver, please register by April 17. The derby is the main attraction, but the day will also play host to an outdoor picnic as well as number of other activities for all members of the family. with their Name, Age, Height and Weight no later that April 17.
All racers must wear appropriate footwear.  We will have helmets available but please feel free to bring your own helmet.
We recommend that racers be between the age of 6 and 13 with a height restriction of 5’3 and a weight restriction of 150 lbs.
